Who Are the Tai Lue?
The Tai Lue are an ethnic group with a rich cultural heritage across parts of Laos, Thailand, China, Myanmar, and Vietnam. In Ban Nayangtai, Tai Lue identity is still visible in daily life through language, textiles, food, architecture, music, ceremonies, and community traditions.
At Tai Lue Homestay & Arts, guests do not only see culture from the outside. They stay with a local family, meet artisans, eat village food, and learn through hands-on experiences such as handloom weaving, Ton Hom indigo dyeing, bamboo basketry, blacksmithing, cooking, music, Baci ceremony, rice, sugarcane, and village walks. Our goal is to share Tai Lue heritage respectfully while supporting local livelihoods, responsible tourism, and cultural preservation.
